About fifty bloggers, techies, geeks and friends of Smaller Indiana gathered on the circle at noon today to announce to the world that Indy is a blogging Tech Center. Dressed in yellow or blue, the signature colors of Smaller Indiana, the Mob ( as they referred to themselves) asked lunchtime passersby to support the effort by logging in to Smaller Indiana or their own blogs and posting about the event.
The weather was sunny, but cool, but it didn’t deter the bloggers, who shared tips and conversation as they sat on the steps of the Monument, writing about Indy, Technology, and BlogIn.
The goal is to spike interest in Indiana as a Tech Center in the search engines and build awareness for the upcoming BlogIn event on Saturday, April 26th.
We certainly stirred the interest of local media, as Fox 59 was there with a camera crew, and the Star had a photographer on the scene! So watch for us in print, and TV, and search for BlogMob to find other posts about the event.
