(Friday, October 17, 2008) Sollievo, a division of Alzheimer’s Care Group, announced today they will begin providing community seminars for caregivers struggling to care for an aging parent who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or a related dementia. The Carmel Clay Public Library is hosted Sollievo on Thursday, October 16 from 7:00pm-8:30pm.
The seminar focused on three key areas:
• Educating caregivers and other family members on the disease and disease process
• Planning a strategy specifically tailored to each individual situation for continuing care giving
• Explaining additional resources and assistance available for caregivers provided through a network of Alzheimer’s certified and trained providers
Sollievo is available to speak at area churches, libraries and businesses. To set up a seminar in your area or for those interested learning more about how Sollievo can provide education to caregivers who are struggling with care giving please contact Rachel Mahl at (317)218-5114.
