Indianapolis-based Compendium Blogware, which sells a search-driven blogging platform, and Vontoo, a permission-based voice-message marketing company, have both been named by BusinessWeek as two of America’s most promising startups. Compendium’s 45-employee company is profiled here. Vontoo’s 25-worker company, profiled here, began as a way for companies to make commercial pitches but has morphed into more fields, including service for bill collectors.
