(CARMEL, IN. July 1, 2009) – The 2009 St.Vincent Heart Center of Indiana 4th of July Parade will be the biggest in CarmelFest history with over 90 entries: including marching bands, clowns, celebrities and themed floats. The Parade begins at 10:30 am on Saturday – July 4th. The parade route will start at AAA Way on Carmel Drive, proceed North on Range Line Road, and end at Carmel High School on Main St. This year’s Parade theme is “Stars & Stripes Together.”
To start off the parade at 10:30 am, two F-16 Falcon Jets will fly over Carmel. The jets will approach from the Southeast to Northwest, then the F-16’s will fly over Carmel Drive and Rangeline. Throughout the parade, themed floats will honor the military and veterans.
According to Marla Achor, St.Vincent Heart Center Marketing Manager, “This Parade marks the third consecutive year of our partnership with CarmelFest. As the title sponsor of the Parade, St.Vincent Heart Center of Indiana continues its role in the community and gives back to the citizens we serve.” In their position as the number one heart care provider in Indiana, St.Vincent Heart Center of Indiana’s goals include educating people about heart healthy living and the risks associated with heart disease.”
St.Vincent Heart Center of Indiana is encouraging all individuals attending the parade to wear red in support of “Go Red for Women” – a movement which educates individuals on heart disease as the number one killer of women.
Post event television coverage of the parade can be seen on WISH TV 8 and on Carmel Cable Channel 16.
