(Indianapolis, IN) – SmallerIndiana, a Web-based place that allows local creative people and innovative ideas easier to find, selects a new intern to be a part of their team this summer. Manunya Nookong, a graduate from IUPUI will be responsible for helping the team on public relations and communication management.
Nookong recently earned her Master’s in public relations management from the School of Journalism at IUPUI. In June 2009, Nookong was looking to become more involved with Indianapolis community, and it was then that she found an internship opportunity with SmallerIndiana online. During this internship, Nookong will be helping Pat Coyle, the founder of SmallerIndiana Web site, in public relations and communications to promote their partnership and support local festivals such as IndyFringe2009, GermanFest, and other events that will take place during this summer.
About Manunya Nookong: Born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, Nookong moved to Indianapolis 6 years ago to attend a graduate program in applied communications at IUPUI. She recently finished her second graduate program in public relations management. During her study years, she had several hands-on experiences creating and implementing successful strategic communication campaigns with a team for selected non-profit organizations around the State of Indiana.
