INDIANAPOLIS (August 12, 2009) – n|Frame, Indiana’s most experienced collocation and data center services provider, has been awarded a $50,000 Technology Enhancement Certification for Hoosiers (TECH) grant from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC). n|Frame, which received the maximum grant award for any one company, will use the funds to continue training and certifying 22 members of its engineering staff.
“n|Frame is one of Indianapolis’ largest IT employers, and recruiting and retaining top technology talent has always been our highest priority,” said Robert J. Alcorn, n|Frame’s chief operating officer. “The state’s funding will allow us to continue meeting our clients’ evolving technology infrastructure needs by ensuring our engineers are trained and certified in the industry’s most current operating systems, virtual offerings and network topologies.”
The TECH Fund is a reimbursement grant program designed to help Indiana companies meet the demands of the new information economy by rapidly increasing the number of certified information technology workers in the state. This program provides financial assistance to companies that are committed to training their employees in the latest information technology skills. Indiana companies receiving TECH funds must be in good standing with state regulatory agencies.
“Our employees are our greatest asset, and it is imperative that we provide them with continued professional and technical development opportunities,” added Alcorn. “This grant supports us in doing that.”
n|Frame has received similar grants from the state in the past, allowing the company to remain at the forefront of the information technology industry.
