First Seminar in 5th Annual Finances 101 Series: Inexpensive Series Addresses Personal and Business Financial Basics
Indianapolis, IN. [September 23, 2009]– The fifth (5th) Annual Finances 101 for Young Professionals will hold the first of its three seminars on consecutive Tuesdays, starting October 6, 2009. An accountant, financial advisor and attorney have come together to present the seminars on managing personal and professional finances and preparing for the future. The seminars will be held at the Columbia Club on the Circle downtown and begin at 6:00pm. Doors open at 5:30pm for registration. The seminars are $10 per session or $25 for all three.
The first topic in the series of seminars is Basics of Financial Planning. It will be conducted by Michael J. McGlothlin, ChFC, CLU, CFP, and owner of Indiana Advisory Group (www.indianaadvisorygroup.com). McGlothlin is currently pursuing his Masters of Science in Financial Services from The American College. McGlothlin graduated from Indiana University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He currently holds the Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered Life Underwriter and Certified Financial Planner designations. McGlothlin serves as National Liaison for the Indianapolis Chapter of the Society of Financial Services Professionals. He served as the chairperson for the 2004 Indiana Business Ethics Award, and is active as a member of the Financial Planning Association as well as the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
