(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – Local Chef JJ Boston has opened his doors in Broad Ripple to reflect a new innovative grilling experience, Chef JJ’s Back Yard, in late August 2009. Back Yard is located at 1040 Broad Ripple Avenue in Indianapolis, IN.
Prior to opening Back Yard, Chef JJ started the culinary program at Grillmaster’s Garden in Zionsville after gaining swift popularity hosting promotional grilling classes. Sadly, Grillmaster’s Garden has had to close it’s doors due to struggling times. This has left many people with un-used grilling class tickets and gift cards for this specific venue. Chef JJ would like to let those ticketholder’s know that Chef JJ’s Back Yard will honor any of these tickets. Those holders are encouraged to call Back Yard as soon as possible.
“I worked in Zionsville for several years and gained many clients and friendships there. Although Jon and I parted ways over a year ago, I still have a great respect for Grillmaster’s business. It is always sad to hear when a small business has to close its doors. As a small business owner, I think it is important to support the community and see that the clients receive the expected end product,” says Chef JJ.
Best known for his grilled specialties, Chef JJ has created a relaxed atmosphere for private dining, corporate teambuilding, entertaining and public grilling classes in his new space. Back Yard features a large outdoor patio overlooking the river and an indoor space filled with grill islands and Big Green Eggs.
Chef JJ’s Back Yard focuses on the Farm to Fork concept using locally grown produce, protein and products. This, with “green” grilling on the Egg, combines to create an innovative dining experience like no other in Indy. Back Yard also features beer by a new local brewery, Sun King Brewery.
