Astbury Environmental Engineering Expands Business Development Group

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. [December, 2009] – Astbury Environmental Engineering, Inc., an Indianapolis-based environmental consulting firm, announced the addition of two business development professionals Leslie Weaver-Steinert and Casey Diercks.

While other firms are slowing down, and cutting back, Astbury is growing, adding staff and expanding their offices to accommodate demand for their services. Ms. Weaver and Mr. Diercks bring significant expertise which will allow Astbury to expand the type of services they provide their clients.

Ms. Weaver-Steinert brings more than 13 years experience in the environmental consulting industry to her business development role. Having performed more than 900 Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, she brings considerable knowledge of hazardous materials removal operations; asbestos surveys and abatement oversight; and lead-based paint risk assessments to her conversations with clients.

Having served in both consulting and business development role, Mr. Diercks is extremely familiar with emergency response and environmental remediation, demolition and industrial compliance projects. His environmental consulting experience includes groundwater sampling, facility closure, investigation and remediation, due diligence, environmental compliance audits, and indoor air quality sampling and analysis.

About Casey Diercks:
In addition to his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Western Kentucky University Mr. Diercks’s certifications include OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPPER, OSHA Supervisor training, certified asbestos inspector, and OSHA 10-Hour Construction industry training.

Prior to joining Astbury, Mr. Diercks served in business development and consulting roles for Allegiant Global Services and Keramida Environmental. Mr. Diercks was responsible for managing multimillion dollar projects, such as manufacturing facility decommissioning, large scale remediation projects, regulated hazardous and non hazardous byproduct management, asbestos abatement, asset management, commodities management, UST removal and closure and CFC recovery. 

About Leslie Weaver-Steinert:
Ms. Weaver-Steinert holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Baker University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas. Prior to joining Astbury Ms. Weaver-Steinert has performed marketing and business development activities for more than 15 years in various industries. Additionally, Ms. Weaver-Steinart has commercial real estate experience providing entitlement, design oversight and permitting for more than 40 hotel sites throughout the United States.
