Indianapolis, IN – Noblesville business owner Tom Barrett has been elected to the board of directors of the Indiana Nursery and Landscaping Association (INLA).
The INLA is a not-for-profit organization serving the green industry in Indiana. The organization strives to encourage ethics, principles and excellence in the green industry.
A long-time INLA member, Mr. Barrett previously served as a member on the communications committee, as well as co-chair of the certification committee. Mr. Barrett is also the 2009 INLA Award of Merit recipient for his work launching the Landscape Industry Certification program.
“I am honored to be elected to this post in the INLA,” Barrett said. “I look forward to building on the past successes of the INLA in new and exciting ways, and increasing my involvement in the green industry.”
About Tom Barrett: Mr. Barrett, a frequent author and speaker, holds a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy and Plant Genetics from the University of Arizona. He furthered his studies in architecture at Syracuse University. He holds multiple certifications in water conservation. Tom is a board member of the Indiana Nursery and Landscape Association, and is active in the Irrigation Association, in which he chaired the Communications Committee. He is an approved instructor for the Irrigation Association.
