Indianapolis – Startup Weekend, an intense 54-hour brainstorming and business-building event, will be held in Indianapolis June 4-6, hosted by the Purdue Research Park at AmeriPlex – Indianapolis. 2010 will mark the fourth Startup Weekend in Indianapolis
During Startup Weekends, a diverse group of developers, business managers, startup enthusiasts, marketing gurus, graphic artists and more gather to create and develop innovative new products, projects, and companies. Many times, a viable company emerges, including Pocket Tales, a company which turns reading books into an interactive game.
“Demand has grown to have another Startup Weekend in Indy,” said Lorraine Ball, a member of the planning committee. “We’re looking forward to another innovative weekend, lots of great ideas, and some exciting new companies.”
Startup Weekend is still looking for additional sponsors. Several local organizations, including Small Box Consulting, Bluelock, and the Purdue Research Park are already sponsors.
The cost for the event is $75, including all meals. An early-bird rate of $50 is available until May 5. Students can receive discounted admission by contacting Jon Speer at jspeer@creoquality.com or 765-315-2736.
