Carmel, IN – A news conference was held today to announce that the law firm of Drewry Simmons Vornehm, LLP (DSV), has decided to relocate its headquarters to Carmel City Center. Jones Lang LaSalle represented Carmel City Center and Cassidy Turley represented DSV. Its offices will be located in the Hopper Building in Carmel’s new master plan downtown located at the southwest corner of Range Line Road and City Center Drive.
DSV is one of the largest construction-focused law firms in the Midwest. Its headquarters in Carmel City Center will be the workplace of 39 employees (24 attorneys and 15 support staff). The live, work and play atmosphere of Carmel City Center is especially appealing to DSV, as a means of providing its employees with access to a variety of services and amenities within walking distance of its new headquarters.
“DSV is very pleased to be a part of the innovative Carmel City Center development. Being a part of such a large scale development touches on the heart of our focus and business, as well as the walkable urban aspect of the entire development that will place our employees and clients at the heart of Carmel’s government facilities, retail and restaurant establishments, greenspace, residential developments, offices, and world class performing arts centers, not to mention access to the Monon Greenway of Carmel,” said Mike Drewry of Drewry Simmons Vornehm, LLP.
In addition, being able to design and construct new office space in Carmel City Center provides DSV with a blank slate in order to incorporate sustainable design features throughout its new office space. DSV is proud and honored to join the Carmel community as it expands its presence in Central Indiana.
“We are pleased that Drewry Simmons Vornehm, LLP, has chosen to relocate its headquarters to Carmel City Center. The firm’s emphasis on providing its employees access to some of the region’s best amenities makes it a good fit for Carmel City Center,” said Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard.
“We are very happy to have Drewry Simmons Vornehm at Carmel City Center. They are certainly the quality and caliber of tenant that will greatly benefit the development and will be a great partner for Carmel City Center and will be a wonderful addition to all of the activity happening in downtown Carmel,” said Bruce Cordingley, President and CEO of Pedcor Companies.
DSV has been a fixture in the Indianapolis legal community since its inception in 1996. Its attorneys have long served clients with construction, real estate, labor/employment, business, government, and litigation matters, with a special focus on clients involved in the construction industry. Commensurate with the relocation of its main office to Carmel City Center, DSV also intends to open a new office in downtown Indianapolis. DSV’s attorneys will provide service to their clients from both office locations as part of the law firm’s regional growth plan, as DSV strives to best serve its clients throughout the State of Indiana and the Midwest.
