(Carmel, IN) The Entrepreneurship Advancement Center (EAC) announced that Ellen Dunnigan of Accent on Business and Todd Coombes of CNO will join the board of directors. This volunteer board develops and implements strategies to enhance the economic health of the Hamilton County community, and foster and advance entrepreneurial interest and success.
“We are excited to welcome Ellen and Todd and we know they will positively affect the entire board” said Cathy Langlois, executive director of the Entrepreneurship Advancement Center. “Ellen brings a strong entrepreneurial background and an exceptional communication skill set, while Todd brings a top-tier technology background and an outstanding entrepreneurial spirit.”
On the board Ellen and Todd will serve with Terry Anker, board chair and Lorraine Ball, vice chair.
About Ellen Dunnigan: Dunnigan founded Accent on Business in 1998. Her company specializes in public speaking and communication skills development for people in business. She has 20 years of experience with professional, amateur, celebrity, and executive speakers in media, politics, business, sales and other industries. Ellen is known locally and nationally for her public speaking programs, Presenter’s Platform™ and Vocal Charisma™.
In addition to her expertise in public speaking and communication skills, Ellen has clinical expertise in dementia diseases and a passion for families dealing with Alzheimer’s and related dementias. She has been instrumental in the development of more than 150 Alzheimer’s care centers throughout the US.
Ellen was recently named the public speaking coach for the Purdue Research Foundation Entrepreneurship Academy.
About Todd Coombes: Coombes joined CNO in 2005 and is currently the Chief Technology Officer. Before joining CNO, Coombes was CEO of Health Care Systems Corporation. Mr Coombes was also an executive at IBM Corporation and CIO and partner at Professional Data Management, an Indianapolis based software vendor. In addition, Todd Coombes has created and launched successful startup businesses in multiple industries including construction, automotive, entertainment, agriculture, communications, and technology. He has also consulted on multiple technology-related product strategies and economic development projects in private industry and in government.
Mr. Coombes is currently serving as an adjunct MBA professor for Anderson University. Coombes is also a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI – with distinction) and holds the designation of Certified Computing Professional (CCP) from the Institute for the Certification of Computer Professionals.
