Indianapolis – Nick Carter, founder of customer relationship management software AddressTwo, will present “From Bootstrap to Blue Chip” at Indianapolis Startup Weekend. Startup Weekend is an intense 54-hour brainstorming and business-building event. The Indianapolis Startup Weekend will be held November 12-14.
Carter’s presentation provides a personal case study on how his business made a conscious decision to bootsrap their expansion, rather than seeking external funding.
“With my own startup, I continuously debated the pros and cons of bringing on investors,” said Carter. “Many startups think that their success will hang on their ability to get outside funding. I made a conscious decision to take a slower path which has allowed me to grow a profitable company, which I still own. I hope that my experience can help entrepreneurs make the decisions that are right for them.”
Registration is still open for Startup Weekend. The cost for the event is $50, including all meals. Students can receive discounted admission by contacting Lorraine Ball at Lorraine@roundpeg.biz or by calling 317-569-1396.
