Fusework Studios, an internet marketing company operating in Muncie and Indianapolis, has become the most recent sponsor of the East Central Indiana Social Media Group. This is the second social media focused organization Fusework Studios has sponsored this year with the first being the Social Media Club Indianapolis. In addition to sponsoring the new group, two members of Fusework Studios’ team were involved with starting the social media group in Muncie and continue to be part of the group’s steering committee.
The East Central Indiana Social Media Group was recently formed in Muncie, Indiana in an effort to create a forum for businesses in the community to discuss and exchange ideas related to social media marketing. The group puts an emphasis on education and learning as it relates to effectively integrating the use of social media into existing marketing efforts and business operations.
“As a company, Fusework Studios helps small businesses create and even manage their internet marketing strategies and the use of social media is often times part of the overall plan. There are a lot of questions coming from the small business community about how and where to get started with social media marketing. How do we set up a Facebook Page or how do we create a Twitter account are not uncommon questions,” said Director of Sales and Marketing for Fusework Studios, John D. Fisher. He also added that “the East Central Indiana Social Media Group is an organization that is trying to help
answer questions about social media through its monthly events and because of that, we are happy to help support its efforts to help the local business community.”
Matt Howell, the Director of Production at Fusework Studios pointed out that “Fusework Studios has been working with small businesses for a while to help them with their social media efforts so we really had no hesitation in supporting this group. Sometimes we’re helping a business with the basics like creating profiles on Facebook and Twitter and other times we’re developing a business blogging site and even helping to create the content for a business to post online. We’re hoping that the East Central Indiana Social Media Group can help even more small businesses accomplish some of these things and
help them combine social media with their existing marketing and communications strategies when it makes sense.”
The East Central Indiana Social Media Group currently holds its monthly events at the Innovation Connector in Muncie, Indiana. The events include educational presentations and panel discussions on various aspects of using social media in business.
