Chef JJ’s Back Yard is expanding its culinary services to you. By partnering up with Hoosier Culinary Sharpening, Back Yard will now serve as a consistent place for people to drop off their dull knives, to get sharpened by Barry Smith, owner and founder of Hoosier Culinary Sharpening.
Chef JJ’s Back Yard will be open on Tuesday’s for people to bring their knives in. A price list will be presented upon drop off. Pick up for the sharpened knives will take place the following Friday so that they may be used over the weekend! Tuesday grilling class goers are encouraged to bring their dull knives as well, so that they are sure to have the appropriate tools to replicate the recipes back home.
Chef JJ’s Back Yard is offering a hands-on Knife Skills class on July 19th. This will be the kick off to the knife sharpening services. Barry Smith will be on site that evening to give a brief demonstration on how he sharpens knives and how his method is superior to other methods. That night guests are encouraged to bring in their 2 favorite knives and will be extended a special rate of $10 for both knives. The guests that night will be able to leave that evening with sharpened knives, along with one complimentary knife for attending the class.
