The Big Green Bistro lives up to its name and hopes that it can lead a movement of social responsibility to the food truck explosion in Indianapolis and across the country. The Big Green Bistro combines the unique backyard entertaining and grilling education you’ve grown to love at Chef JJ’s Back Yard with the flexibility of location to meet your needs.
The Big Green Bistro will offer a new twist on the food truck craze. It will be used for private events, as well as partnering up with unique local businesses to bring an experience all its own.
Blending interactive chefs grilling on the Big Green Egg, and a fully wrapped mobile restaurant that makes you feel like you are sitting street side by an authentic bistro, the experience will
be like no other. The food will also exuberate a feeling of fresh, local style. The Big Green Bistro will have a full kitchen as well as four Big Green Eggs in order to provide each event
with top quality dishes. The Big Green Bistro focuses on sustainable items, and we will continue developing more environmentally conscious ways to bring a custom experience as we ‘roll’ on.
To Chef JJ, this is a dream come true. “Three years ago, I was hauling two Big Green Eggs around in the back of my pickup truck with the singular mission to expose people to a unique dining experience; preparing an entire meal, start to finish, on the World’s Best Smoker and Grill. Two years ago my passion took hold in the form of Back Yard, a private dining space in Broad Ripple on the White River. This August, I am announcing the Chef JJ’s expansion with the arrival of Big Green Bistro, things are looking pretty exciting from where I stand right now,”
