Indianapolis, IN—The Full Circle Nine Gallery (FC9) is proud to announce Jeannie Bogue has joined the artist cooperative and will premiere her work during the September IDADA First Friday Art Tour, September 1st, 6-9pm. Admission is free.
Residing in Cambridge City, about an hour east of Indianapolis, Bogue is excited to bring her talents to Indy and its vibrant art scene. Bogue works in acrylic and watercolors, painting abstract imagery in large scale. “In my creative process, I’m a very intuitive painter,” said Bogue. “I not only express my emotions and thoughts into my work, but I also use music to help cultivate the mood and energy in my pieces.”
About Jeannie Bogue
Jeannie Bogue is an outspoken survivor of trauma and C-PTSD who found painting to be a coping mechanism for healing, and the creative process to be very consistent throughout her life. “Applying paint to canvas is like shining a light on the obscure parts of myself that remained hidden among the shadows,” said Bogue.
Bogue works in series, such as “Epic,” with fantastical abstracts of a landscape nature, and “Meditative Calm,” which flows across the canvas. Her series are inspired by composers that she listens to while she create, and the mood set by the music informs the color, strength, and drama of each piece. She also enjoys when others draw an emotion connection to her work. “It is an honor to witness when a person connects to a piece of my work,” said Bogue. “When a viewer experiences a stir of deep emotions and meaningful connection to their inner spirit from just looking at one of my pieces? I’m always humbled. This is one of the most rewarding privileges as an artist and I am grateful for these meaningful engaging experiences.”
Bogue also works in video and editing, as well as creative hobbies such as composting music and writing. She lives with her husband, four children, several cats and a beloved chocolate Labrador dog.
